When we finally go there after the medication incident, we made our way inside. This time we had a cabana at the wave pool, which worked out much better than the last one that we had, and was in a much more central location
Where Isabelle took off from where we left on day three. Isabelle was very disappointed that she did not get to have a go on the FlowRider wakeboard simulator, as they were all booked out. So first thing this morning, we booked a session and filled out the waiver. We booked it for two o'clock, as that way it would be out of the heat of the middle bit of the day.
I did not fare as well this visit in keeping the girls from getting sunburn, as they both got burnt, especially Isabelle's nose. Sometimes when I think that I am being the parent of the year, I always seem to trip up on something so simple like sunscreen and I fund myself at the bottom of the heap again
- River Rapids (both)
- Constrictor (Isabelle)
- AquaRacer (Isabelle)
- SuperRipper (Isabelle)
Isabelle wanted to do Kaboom, but you need two people to do the ride, and after thirty minutes of trying to find someone else that was on their own, but was unable to do it. She was also struggling to find someone to do the Blackhole with, but Lilian put her hand up to do it with her, and funnily at the end of it may have even admitted that she enjoyed it, and it was fun.
During Isabelle's FlowRider session, she got 4 runs in and had a ball. She is hoping to get back there tomorrow and have another go at it if possible. I have promised that we will try to get there on Saturday Morning.
This evening was late night shopping, so we went on a trip to Robina to the Apple Store so that we could get Isabelle an early Christmas present / birthday present, as when we were leaving home, she dropped her laptop and it obliterated the screen. It has done well, as it had a swollen battery which didn't help when the screen broke, and it was well-loved being nearly 5 years old.
Tomorrow we will go to Paradise Country as Lilian wants to have a look at the animals, but I doubt that once that is complete that they will want to stick around much longer. The thing appears to be more angled at international tourists and city slickers that have never been onto a farm.
To me, it would make more sense to take the kids into the rural parts of the country and have them actually stay on a farm and support the farmers, rather than a pretend farm run by a company funded by venture capitalists. Also voting against that is the fact that both girls want to go back to wet and wild to continue on their rides.
